Deben Rowing Club Juniors

Welcome to the 'unofficial' website for Deben Rowing Club. We're a small rapidly expanding rowing club situated on the bank of the river Deben. This website has been set up by the so called 'youth' of our rowing club, to show you what we get up to and hopefully inspire you to come down and give it a go yourself.

The youth of Deben Rowing Club are a committed group of 'athletes'. We train all year round, whatever the weather. And race all year round,,, whatever the weather, racing in the awesome red and yellow deben colours! The club is in a great location providing a variety of conditions, allowing us to get the edge on our rivals who spend most of their lives sat on a mill pond, a complete contrast to the breaking surf of the river deben!

It doesnt matter whether your a complete beginner or a seasoned rower interested in moving to a much better club! Simply come down on one of the club sessions (0900 Saturdays, 1000 sundays all year round and 1800 wednesday evenings during the summer months) and get chatting to the 'youths' who will be 'hanging' around the clubhouse! We'll introduce you to Terry- our coach/mentor, who will show you the ropes, and get you out on the water!

In general, D.R.C has a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere..there are no such things as compulsory training sessions.....and we wont throw you out if your rubbish! Just turn up when you feel like it, and row at the standard you want to! The club will provide you with all the equipment and tuition you require to get started!
